Fredia tells Awakening, “I was introduced to martial arts at age 12. Why? To rebuild my self-confidence and self-esteem. Why? I was bullied by neighborhood and school kids. If someone says it can’t be done, smile and then reply “Maybe it can’t”. But I won’t be the one to say so until I’ve tried.”
