Cortney Casey-Sanchez’s Bio

Cortney Casey-Sanchez is a female fighter from the United States.

She earned her Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in September of 2013, and has since progressed to Brown Belt.

She signed with the UFC in July of 2015.

Cortney’s win over Jessica Aguilar in May of 2017 was ruled a No Contest for a period of time, after the TDLR found a higher than normal testosterone to epitestosterone ratio. However, upon further testing it was found that this was not due to any exogenous banned substances, and so Cortney was cleared and her win over Aguilar reinstated.

Personal Life

Cortney has attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where she was a division 1 soccer player before graduating in 2009. She has formerly played semi-professional soccer for the Seattle Sounders.
