Lisa tells Awakening, “I first got into MMA fulltime age 14! This is where I made the transition from a Semi Pro football player to “MMA Fighter”. I felt more at home in the cage then I did on the pitch. I loved football but I was huge MMA (Nerd), a big fan, and it was always something I really wanted to get into but never had the chance. My dad is an Ex-Bodybuilder, he use to train in this new gym that opened up 5 minutes walk from my house! I went and found out they did the disciplines I do today, this was the home of “Bloodline fight team/Ekbjj” and I got to know Eddie Kone – he took me under hes Wing! Two years down the line, at age 16 I had a chat with Eddie and he asked me “Do I want to fight? or are you doing this to keep fit?” I replied “I’m here to be a CHAMPION”. I made my Semi Pro MMA debut age 16 where I went on to beat 25 year old Melissa Wong, I give up school for MMA and put my trust in to Eddie Kone, he promised he make me the best and a great Champion.”
