TUF 23 cast
The Ultimate Fighter season 23 cast has been confirmed! Both women’s Strawweight and men’s Light Heavyweight tournaments are featured this season. UFC Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (11-0) will coach opposite number one ranked contender Claudia Gadelha (13-1).
A 2-hour premier episode will air on April 20th, with 16 women and 16 men competing for their place in the TUF house. The confirmed female cast members are:

Chelsea Bailey (2-0 pro, 3-1 amateur, USA)
Helen Harper (4-1 pro, 0-2 amateur, England)
Irene Cabello (6-2 pro, 1-1 amateur, Spain)
Jamie Moyle (3-1 pro, 5-2 amateur, USA)
JJ Aldrich (2-1 pro, 7-4 amateur, USA)
Jodie Esquibel (5-1 pro, 1-0 amateur, USA)

The season will run for 12 episodes on Fox Sports 1, with the TUF 23 finale on July 8th during International Fight Week in Las Vegas. That card will be headlined by a Strawweight title fight between coaches Joanna and Claudia. Joanna previously beat Claudia by Split Decision in December of 2014 in a highly competitive fight.
Unfortunately, the women’s Bantamweight tournament did not have enough entrants at the December tryouts to go ahead, and so was cancelled.
This will be the third TUF to feature women’s contestants, and the second to have women as head coaches.
